Der Verfall is a dark trance / techno project of producer Alex Butcher, Alexander Abraham and Kai MacDonald. Under the name of Lexikon the trio released their first single Der Verfall in 1998, together with an English version of the song titled The Ruin. After the name change, Der Verfall recorded their second single Der Verfall #2 in 1999, followed by Vater Unser, Abfahrt und Der Mussolini.
