English Free Improvisation/avant-garde guitar pioneer Derek Bailey and Japanese avant-garde multi-instrumentalist/vocalist Keiji Haino (灰野敬二) came together in the studio during November of 1996. "Drawing Close, Attuning - The Respective Signs Of Order And Chaos" was released in Japan in 1997. Songs, with Haino performing vocals only, wasn't released until later in 2000 on Incus Records.
