Desert Sharks is a rock, punk, garage, all-girl band from New York, NY, United Sates. Desert Sharks originally formed by answering musician ads. The band came up with its name while writing a song. Their "guitarist Stefania suggested her guitar line sounded like the music from Jaws". Stephanie, who plays bass, said it sounded more "like the song Tequila".
