Dilba was born (as Dilbahar Demîrbag) on November 24th, 1971, in Western Kurdistan. She immigrated to Sweden when she was only four years old, where she grew up in Karlstad and Uppsala. She has four siblings: Dilsa, Dilnarin, Dilber and Assan. Dilba was introduced to the piano as early as when she went to kindergarten and is also self-taught in the guitar.
