Dividend was a shoegaze and indie pop band from Fayetteville, Arkansas. The band formed in September 2012 by guitarist and singer-songwriter Cody Nielsen and drummer Jackson Lafargue. They began writing and recording demos which became their first EP, The Mind's Eye, released in October 2013.
