Dj GeKKo was born on 16 december 1983, in the Salvator Hospital in Hasselt, Belgium. He lived in Berbroek during most of his kindergarten education. By the time he went to primary school, he had moved to Grobbendonk, and he attended primary school in the neighbouring village, Pulle. He went to secondary school in Westmalle, where he followed Latin for 4 years and subsequently 2 more years of Sciences-Modern Languages.
