Dorothy Carter was born in 1935 and sadly passed away in 2003. She is best remembered as Co-founder of the popular group Mediaeval Baebes along with Katherine Blake who she met on the German Cabaret scene. She also was a talented multi-instrumentalist and released a solo album "Lonesome Dove". Dorothys role in the Mediaeval Baebes was as instrumentalist, playing instruments such as Hammered Dulcimers, Zithers, Psaltery, and Hurdy Gurdy.
