Drehton is the project name of dresden based mountain view living Eric Bellmann. Phonocake connected to him at Audiolab Dresden Postplatz in 2003. Drehton is part of a music artist collective called Futuristic Dance Nerds. In Drehton's songs, you can hear the love to acoustic as well as electronic sounds. And so, it does not wonder, when he sometimes uses a guitar as midi-input-device, to connect both worlds.
