Dresden War Crimes were formed in Melbourne, Australia by Graeme Wood (Vocals) and Greg Osborne (Guitar) in 1979. The band started gigging under the name of "Bombs Over Dresden" in 1980. They changed the name later in the year as well as some of the other original members. Meredith Simpson joined playing Keyboards and Clarinet, Rick Hastewell on Bass and Charles Meo on Drums.
