Dropshard formed in September 2007 from the ashes of Antares, a group born in the pews of the school. The roots of the band find their natural habitat in a mixture of progressive music 70s, with particularly attentive ear to Genesis, Yes, Jethro Tull, King Krimson, Led Zeppelin and groups from the contemporary progressive/alternative scene like Pain of Salvation, Riverside and Porcupine Tree.
