Echthros is a drone doom project from Poland, founded by Bartosz Frąckowiak. Its first release, titled "Iyov" (from Church Slavonic Іѡвъ, the biblical Job), merges dark ambient and drone doom metal with Orthodox choral music. It was first released as free download on June 29th, 2011. Re-released on January 28th, 2012 in a hand-numbered limited edition, on Assonance Records.
