Rafel Conde Santiago, best known as "El Titi", was born in Málaga (Spain), probably on 10 September 1939. He moved to Valencia when he was young together with a theatrical company and never again had he left that city. He considered himself to be Valencian and soon became famous among all the theatres, clubs and pubs in Valencia. He never hide his homosexuality although it was a very difficult time in Spain regarding gay rights because of Franco's regime.
