Elif Caglar was born 1980, in Istanbul,Turkey. She studied "Jazz Composition" at Istanbul Bilgi University (1998-2002) with Turkey’s leading jazz musicians as professors (Randy Esen, Nukhet Ruacan, E. Ali Perret, Can Kozlu, Aydin Esen, Neset Ruacan, Selen Gulun, Imer Demirer, Ricky Ford...)
