Self-explained as "Lifetime meets Jawbreaker", Empty Handed NJ played fast, melodic, and uncompromising pop punk with a touch of old school hardcore. The band broke out onto the NJ punk scene in late 1999 and cut a two song demo in 2000. After some member changes and struggles, the band, consisting of Joseph Edwards, Marshall Jones, Ian Webster (and sometimes Anthony Gregory) found their stride in 2001.
