In the fall of 2005 and in the wake of the demise of the acoustic trio Aesthetic due to irreconcilable artistic differences, Andy Corbitt and Colin McHale departed to form Epocha. The two had already been in talk with Mike Kudlicki and the three of them soon joined together and began practicing in the living room of Andy's house.
