Eriney's music is best described as Medieval folk from the Balkans. It combines Europian Medieval music with typical Bulgarian and Oriental flavoured folklore. The group is formed in the end of 2011 and has grown from 3 to 6 man band, adding new instruments and influences. The band is formed in the late 2011 by Alexander Tupankov, Zdravko Peev and Nikola Petrov as they begin to create original music by the name Сур (reads "Sur", an old Bulgarian word for "gray animal").
