Essences was a darkwave / neofolk band from Sardinia, Italy, active in the 1990s. Formed by Alessia Cicala (vocals, flute), Daniele Serra (guitars) and Guido Boi (keyboards, drum machine), they released "Nebulae" in 1997 (produced by Energeia), and appeared on Hyperium Records compilation "Heavenly Voices Part V" with the song "Lady Solitude". In the year 2000, Alessia Cicala and Daniele Serra were joined by Mara Lasi and created a new incarnation of the band, named Chirleison. Read more on Last.fm.
