Etánisis was created in mid-2001 with a mixture of metal with epic and progressive influences that does not disdain other genres that could enrich its proposal. Along its history, Etanisis has performed successfully in several stages in Mexico City and throughout Mexico, and in the summer of 2007, they took part in the Latin American Metal Festival in Cali, Colombia.
