Eugene and Doris is an experiment in Folk Pop. Essentially their music consists of folk music with pop melodies. The thumping, rhythmic guitar, combined with the flowing piano lines, topped with the melodic counterpoint of the violin, or the proverbial cherry-on-top, make a recipe for music that is generally enjoyable to a lot of people... or at least that's what they try to do.
