Guy and Evan Carawan are a father and son duo living at the Highlander Center in Tennessee. Guy first heard the hammered dulcimer at the Newport Folk Festival. He introduced the hammered dulcimer to many musicians in the southeast — John McCutcheon, David Holt and Malcolm Dalglish among them. His son Evan joined him in 1972 playing Appalachian and old-time American tunes. In 1974 they visited Ireland, and they added Irish tunes to their repertoire. Read more on Last.fm.
