Originally from a small northern suburb of Chicago, Fahri was started up in 2005 by husband and wife duo, Sarah Long and Miles Murray. After some shows and a few member changes they met drummer, Neil Gravander, who joined the band permanently in 2006. Shortly after, the band was picked up by Kovington, KY label, Ionik Recordings, who released a self titled, electronic EP for Fahri.
