Far From A Masterpiece formed around 2003 When I Found A 4-track recorder in My Grandma's Closet. I began recording abstract folk songs in my downstairs bathroom. Eventually My Cousin Troy Bootow joined in on the project. Shortly after we got the songs down, I invited my best friend Raul Esparza in on the project to play bass.
