Farol de Amálgama is a progressive rock band formed in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in 2008 by bassist Léo Brum and keyboardist Diego Alonso. Classmates from a college in Rio de Janeiro, Brum and Alonso decided to start a psychedelic rock band called Jégasus. They invited Alexandre Lapa, a drummer who had played with Brum in other bands such as Silêncio do Mar and Introspecto.
