Fat Harry White was a comedic character created in the late '90s by BBC Radio 1 DJ's, Mark Radcliffe & Lard (Marc Riley - previously of The Fall). The voice was provided by Radcliffe, distorted so to sound like a Northern Barry White. The 3 to 4 minute sketches were strewn with sexual innuendo. It proved so successful that a collection of 15 sketches, entitled Hmmm Baby were released on CD in 1998. The duo also had considerable UK chart success as Britpop indie parody band, The Shirehorses.
