Formed in Bangor, North Wales in 1980 from the ashes of Hot Water and proto-punk band Dick Dick & the Dicks. Fay Ray were: Sheila Brook - vocals/guitar Owen Hughes - drums John Lovering - guitars Jeff Taylor - sax/vocals Tony Travis - bass/vocals The band signed to Surrey Sound Records (owned by Police producer, Nigel Gray) in 1981 after being spotted at first London gig supporting Killing Joke.
