From the Side began its life a solo project for Barry Preece, and quickly resulted in a debut album mastered by Steve Kitch of the Pineapple Thief. Barry is a musician who has played with various bands over a number of years (Five Kings, The Carpet Frogs and The Chilli Zeppers).
