Funky D & the Electric Trees was spawned from the Hellfires of Awesome. It was conceived by Taylor Harvey, of the band Snake Jaw, in the fall of 2010. The bands is made up of guitarist/mastermind Harvey, bassist/cute-one Anthony Branca, and guitarist/resident-black-guy Robert Blake. They play music that has been described only as '1337 Mudkipz'.
