Gates of Hell (GOH) date back to early 2008, founded initially by Pedro Afonso (guitar), Filipe Afonso (guitar) and Filipe Aragão (Voice). The band had its debut on stage in November of that year the Altar Bar in Porto. After a period of concerts, GOH went through a restructuring period, when he joined Alfonso Ribeiro (drums), Helder Costa (bass) and José Almeida (Voice).
