Thomas Henry aka Gator Dash was born 1971 in Port-au-Prince, Haïti. Soon after his birth, his parents emigrated to the United States and settled down in Brooklyn where a large Haïtian community is situated. In the US, he has composed for Gougou Dolls and has been a singer/composer of the group Jolson Lips. He has played live accoustic shows for "Ten Thousand Maniacs" and done the opening show as Gator Dash for Iggy Pop and La Mano Negra at a festival in Buffalo (New York).
