The Silverados were one of ex-Byrd Gene Clark's many backing bands. They toured from 1974 to 1976. Initially, the band consisted of bassist Duke Bardwell (who had played with Elvis Presley) and guitarist Roger White. Drummer Mark Singer and pianist John Guthridge joined later, in the fall of 1975. Faced with severe perfomance anxiety, Clark often drunk and used amphetamines before going on stage.
