The Georgia Cotton Pickers was a short-lived band that recorded in December, 1930. The group consisted of Robert “Barbecue Bob” Hicks, Curley Weaver and Buddy Moss. The best-known releases were “Diddle-Da-Diddle” (their version of Blind Blake’s song "Diddie Wa Diddie") and “I’m On My Way Down Home” (a re-do of The Mississippi Sheiks’ “Sitting On Top of the World”).
