Gerda Blank is a two-piece rock band originally from Auckland, New Zealand, named after a German woman shot attempting to cross the Berlin wall. Comprising guitarist Rhys Braddock and drummer Stuart Mills, the band is now based in Brno, Czech Republic. Rhys, originally from New Plymouth, NZ, met Stuart in 2007, in Auckland, NZ, and after discovering they shared similar musical ideals, wanted to quickly record an album and see where their fruitful musical results would carry them.
