Gert de Meijer (Terneuzen, 1953 - Vlissingen, 27 December, 2006) was a Dutch 6 and 12-string guitar player. In 1976, at the age of 22, De Meijer made his first album with Munich Records/Stoof. After that, a number of releases followed (no record company). In 2000, German record company Acoustic Music Records released the album 'Behind the Dunes', which was followed by 'Acoustickled' in 2003. In 2005 De Meijer released 'Spirit of the Turtle'.
