Get the Cat was founded in 2006. In 2007 the band recorded their first CD, which was simply called Get the Cat. They immediately started touring all of Germany and Switzerland and played opener for acts like Bernard Allison and Louisiana Red. In 2009 a concert at the industrial museum „Freudenthaler Sensenhammer“ in Leverkusen was recorded and filmed.
