There are two known groups named Ginnungagap. The first and still active Ginnungagap is an ambient side-project from Seattle, Washington, United States of Stephen O'Malley (Sunn O))), Lotus Eaters, Khanate, among others) formed in 2002. The music is a less guitar oriented version of drone, utilizing many middle and far eastern instruments and keys.
