New Zealand based Soul-Funk-Jazz group. Founded in 1997 by singer Chris Melville at the Grand Central Bar in Ponsonby Road, Auckland. The Grand Central Band have since become a staple groove band on the Auckland scene. The band's members also play for other NZ groups Hello Sailor, Nathan Haines and Blue Train.
