Große Freiheit was a NDW musical group from Hamburg, Germany formed in 1980 by Martin George Grunwaldt (synthesizer, vocals) and Michael Wentzel. In 1981 Johann Bley (drums) and Hans-Jürgen Piel (bass) were added to the band's lineup. The band recorded for Zickzack Records and released "Espressomaschine" in 1982, which received favourable reviews from Sounds magazine.
