Groundburst are an instrumental rock band consisting of Phil Dunne (guitars), Si Dunne (keys, bass) and Cathal O'Leary (drums). Their sound defies easy classification but draws on influences from minimalism, jazz, soundtrack and electronic music, while remaining true to a traditional rock aesthetic. Since forming in late 2005, they have put on many of their own gigs and played dozens of support slots on the Dublin live scene.
