Gunesh Ensemble is one of the greatest bands from ex-USSR, leaded by one the finest progressive drummers, Rishad Shafi ("The King of Drum") who was for many, including Peter Gabriel, the best drummer ever. Being from Turkmenistan, they are a Central Asian sounding progressive jazz/rock/fusion group. But Gunesh are better than that may imply.
