Hallraker was a hardcore band more or less born at UMASS in Amherst, Massachusetts during the Spring of 1996. Chris Bevilaqua, and Jim Belisle grew up together in North Andover, MA and were both students at UMASS. With Brian Murray, a transplant from Orange County, CA and bassist from their old band, Canon, they got together with Western Mass. local and fellow UMASS student, Jim Pion and thus bore hallraker.
