Han-Shan were a short-lived hardcore band from Arroyo Grande,CA, active in the early 1990's. First vocalist was chris pontius from jackass and wildboyz. Correction: Han Shan was based on the central coast of CA, Arroyo Grande to be specific. The Han Shan 7" was recorded in San Diego. They started as a Power violence/Sludge band, because of the singer, whose voice reminds of early dystopia (he didn't appear on the recording of the 7").
