In December of 2004, Andy Zarate, Matt Martinez, and Micky Figueroa formed the hardcore band Curbcheck. Based out of Oak Cliff, Texas, the newly founded group recruited Josh Maldonado of the Dallas punk band The Decline to handle bass.
