Hate Mechanism was formed in 2009 by Jake Ettle-Iles (guitar), Ben Rusz (guitar) and Luke Archer (Bass). The band began writing under the influence of late 80s and early 90s metal bands such as Pantera, Slayer, Fear Factory, Exhorder etc. Hate Mechanism played their first gig on September 18th 2009 which was a huge success and got the band noticed on the Bristol Metal Underground.
