Heavy metal/shred musician, best known for being the vocalist from Japanese 80's thrash metal act Rommel. In '85 he played with Sqwier. A year later he played guitar on the '86 vinyl EP "Orgasm", from X (pre- X Japan). Takai is also known as "Shu" or "Jun". Under his own name he released his solo album "Radiant Heat", in 1994.
