Hollowblue, originally a solo project by Gianluca Maria Sorace, becomes a band in 2003 when Marco Calderisi aka Killjoy on guitar, Giancarlo Russo on bass and Federico Moi on drums joined him. On strings they had the support of several people: Chiara Cavalli, Sarah Crespi and Sarah Mayer on violin and Ellie Young on cello. In the summer of 2009 the keyboardist Enrico Filippi permanently joined the band.
