Howie Payne is an English singer songwriter from Liverpool, UK. Payne was formerly the lead singer, guitarist and songwriter of the band The Stands, as well as a member of the band The Big Kids with Edgar Jones, formerly of The Stairs. He is brother to Sean Payne of The Zutons and Candie Payne. In 2009 Payne teamed up with producer Ethan Johns to record the album Bright Light Ballads under his full name Howard Eliott Payne.
