Hoyle Nix, (March 22, 1918, Azel, Texas - August 21, 1985, Big Spring, Texas) was a American, West Texas fiddler and bandleader of Hoyle Nix & His West Texas Cowboys. He was born to Jonah Lafayette Nix and Myrtle May (Brooks) Nix. The family moved to Big Spring when Hoyle was one year old.
