Hugh Robert Banton (born 1949) is a British organist and organ builder, most widely known for his work with the group Van der Graaf Generator in the 1970s. He worked together with many artists, such as Judge Smith, John Ellis and René van Commenée / Mr Averell. His only solo album (so far) is a recording of the Goldberg Variations on an organ he built himself.
