Hugh Brodie (February 7, 1933 - April 5, 2017) was an American jazz saxophonist and actor. Hugh Abdullah Rashid Brodie was born in Warrenton, Warren County, North Carolina and attended the art college in Newark, New Jersey. He had first appearances in clubs in Atlantic City and Manhattan. He moved to Brooklyn with his family around 1960 and studied at the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music.
