Idris Goodwin is a rapper. He's also an NEA award-winning writer, HBO Def Poet, and teacher who's earned praise for bringing hip hop into new arenas. Idris' 2005 self-titled solo debut (Naivete Records) was called "an interesting combination of spoken word, rap, old school aesthetics and deep content."
